Decades ago, long before Alpine Journeys Treks was established. These three adventurous souls (Mr. Silichev Oleg, Mr. Oleg Ivanov, and Mr. Sergey Pashko) united by their passion for Nepal’s mountains and culture, crossed paths with Phurba Sherpa during his early days as a porter. Their meeting turned into a strong friendship that helped in shaping the future of our company and transforming countless people’s lives along the way.
True pioneers at heart, these three friends trekked on extraordinary adventures across Nepal’s diverse landscapes, completing all the impressive treks from the eastern to western Himalayas. Their explorations weren’t just about reaching destinations – they were about capturing little moments, creating memories, and building long-lasting bonds. Armed with their advanced cameras (which, as Phurba fondly recalls, “were like nothing I had ever seen before”), they documented their journeys by creating a precious archive of Nepal’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Recognizing potential in young Phurba, they helped lay the foundation for our company’s digital presence by creating our first website (phurbas.narod.ru), which is still active and stands today as a testament to their continuing support.
“Even today, when I look at those pictures and videos from our adventures in the Nepal Himalaya, I’m moved to tears with joy,” shares Phurba, his voice filled with emotion. Further, he also said, “Seeing those images reminds me how far we’ve come. Their trust in me during those early days as a young porter with big dreams means everything. Hence, the gratitude I feel, and that this company feels, will last forever.”
